Our Leaders

Josh Yen (Pastor)

The Lord is so good to me.

I grew up going to church but had no real understanding of the gospel. Yet as a teenager with “everything figured out in life,” the Lord met me and saved me. He has been kind to graciously reveal more and more of Himself in the years since.

I felt the call to vocational ministry early on in my walk. I prepared for it by getting a degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University.

Years later after working odd jobs, getting married to a girl way out of my league, and beginning a family, I stepped into my first pastoral role at Redeemer Church of Denton. We served there for 8 years until the Lord called us to plant King’s.

The Lord has blessed me with an amazing wife named Mallery. We met in 2008 and were married in 2010. She is a gift to me and I could not ask for a better helpmate.

The Lord added to our family with four children—Caleb, Norah Mei, George, and Peter. We are humbled by His kindness and are so very grateful.

Texas Stevens
(Lay Elder)

Texas has spent almost his entire life living in the great state of . . . Texas. Saved at the young age of 7, he had (and still has) much to learn about following Jesus. God was good to bless him with Jennifer when they began dating in 2006 and married in 2008. He wouldn't be who he is today without her. Years later, their little family began to grow with the addition of Jack, and continued with Addie, and Paisley.

God called Texas and his family to King's before they knew King's was going to exist. The Lord has used King's to deepen his family's faith and give them opportunities to walk it out. He loves the people that God has used to compose His church in Old Town Lewisville. He enjoys leading worship, writing songs and raps, spending time with his family, and being outside. He is blessed to be a part of what God is doing at and through King's Church.
